Tried to post a pic but can't.
Old box of Dominion cartridges.
Says 30 SPRFLD But has the word PNEUMATIC just as large under it.
Drawing of cartridge on box with :

DOMINION
30 Springfield
PNEUMATIC HIGH VELOCITY

Drawing of cartridge shows a hollow point bullet loaded in it.
Also states Winchester Remington Savage Mauser Mannlicher and Gibbs rifles

What was meant by PNEUMATIC ?

Odd as I found this in Cambridge Bay Nunavut Canada.
The closest brush and tree is about 600 miles south

funny how things are changing so fast! looks like you can see the runout lol. and only being lead.

i sure bet it worked just fine though.

now it has to have an aluminum tip?

cool box of bullets!

Well that explains it , no need to use them , so they survived.

Great response!
Wonder how they even wound up there? Long way to bring something that will not be used. And nothing there gets thrown away. All re-purposed.
Also that's where I learned about seal oil as a lube in crazy low temps.
