Nesika Extractor/Ejection Problem

Hi

Having played with a variety of ejector plunger spring tensions my Nesika/Borden "Medium Hunter" action will still not eject cases properly. Has anyone else experienced this with what is supposed to be one of the better quality actions? I know you bench guys don't worry about such things but in a rifle built for "hunting" - one fed from a 5-shot Sunyhills floorplate mag - it is important to clear a fired round and get another into the chamber ASAP and without it jamming under the spent case that wont leave the nest!!!

The bolt just lets go of the case once such is drawn back past the open front section of the action. Perhaps I need a new extractor claw but the rifle has only fired 200 rounds and it did this right of the bat 9 out of 10 times!

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Cheers

What calibre is it a 6mm BR? was it built at the Nesika/Borden factory or in England? if built in the factory it should have been function tested and tuned. I have had trouble with ejecting 6mm BR cases in a Rem action they are just so short and fat that gives them the wrong geometry for repeters but some people get them working verry well.

It is a beautifull looking rifle i hope you can sourt it out.

Had similar issues with brand new Nesika K action. Bolt would not pull cases out of chamber most of time and had to use cleaning rod to push them out when doing initial new gun-new cases fire forming. Factory sent new extractor and spring. Same problem again....was not going over the rim of my 6BR,X) cartridges.,Richard at Nesika told me they outsource the extractors).

Ended up by grinding a Dremel cut-off disk down to interior bolt face diameter,by putting new disk in Dremel and spinning against bench-grinder wheel). After gluing extractor onto a small wood fixture so I could manipulate it, I used the spinning disk to carefully "surface-grind" about .008" from the underside of the extractor...just the part that protrudes into the bolt face interior.

Has since worked perfectly for 2000 rounds.

Measure carefully before and during grinding and use black felt tip or similar to ink surface you are grinding so you can see progress.

Built here in the UK by PRS though clearly the bolt/action is from Nesika's factory so can't really blame the gunsmith?

Cartridge is a wildcat .25 based on the 6X47 Swiss Match round so not nearly as short and fat as 6mmBR or PPC. New extractor arrived in post this morning so will try and report back.

At the moment "beautiful" is not a word that springs to mind when describing it!

Thanks.
