Need to find long soft case.

Savior - I have converted all of my bags to Savior from the American Classic to the Specialist and they are great.
All the Savior Specialist Single models show 1" depth.....gotta be a misprint.

I have a few of these and they are excellent soft cases especially for the price. I backordered a few and were in the mail in a few weeks.

I really like the feature of having tubes built in for cleaning rods, I do not like that for 2 bags to ship from Nashville to east coast north Carolina is over $100! Increases the investment per case over $145

The 52.5" (internal max) Bulldog case is now $89.90 on Amazon.
This has some nice side compartments. Should fit your 49.5" rifle, assuming that includes muzzle brake if you have one.

I have one of those cases. I do like it... but.. I just noticed the case is tearing. I use the strap over the shoulder normally. Guess the weight of the rifle (15#) is too much?
Disappointed as I'll have to replace it soon.

I was looking for a case for a Savage Elite Precision over the Labor Day weekend. Similar size. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Creedmoor. They were offering free shipping. I wanted a quality single rifle case and everyone will agree that Creedmoor makes a fine product. I saw the Cabela extreme length with scope option on line and took a drive to the store to check it out. I can't imagine needing anything else. It was actually $72 at check out. No shipping, able to take home that day, and if I decide I do not like it- I can bring it back. This case is quality. I use it to carry to the range. No need to drag around a hard case.

I just picked this one up to try out.
My long barreled guns all fit fine. I'd like one of the CC bags with built in cleaning rod pockets but I'm not paying $60 a bag to ship.

I bought one too and you're right to be disappointed. I'm not impressed with the case. Probable great for a #7 hunting rifle. The balance point sucks, handle is in the wrong position. If it was made to drug through the brush, I doubt if it make one full trip. I think Carlos H. would reject it.

There's no beating a Savier bag, at least the double bags. These bags look bulky because they are built stout, they are not going to fail and there's ample padding. They list internal sizes for each and it's accurate.

Initially I resisted getting one, didn't like the tactical look. After checking one out that our youngest had that sold me. I have two now and hands down the best rifle bag purchase for long deep and heavy rifles. Just remove the center divider and enjoy. The other day he pulls out a range bag (found in pistol section), I almost needed a rag to wipe up the drool. Very well done.

I was just reading this yesterday.

LOL...I was going to order two 58 inch soft cases from Champions Choice, but.....they wanted $110.00 shipping from TN to ND. Price is also $25.00 per more than the article.

Maybe next life!!!

Forum Boss: That article is from 7/4/2020 -- over 4 years ago. Yes, there's been inflation.

I’ve been using the Savior double rifle soft cases. I enjoy them enough that I’ve added four of them to the man cave. Well designed and thought out. Heavy duty zipper, big pockets, well padded. I can fit two rifles with stocks like the A5 and optics with big turrets without issue. It’s a good option.

I've been using a Savior double rifle case for several years now. Great case. They also print targets on the inside of the box it comes in! My only gripe, no hang loop on either end for storing empty, but does have the nicely padded back pack straps. I couldn't imagine trying to haul two match rifles in one case, it would be nearly 50lbs! So my cleaning rod and some supplies go in the other side of it.

Boyt Harness made a run for Sinclair in the late 90’s early 00’s. 54” soft case. I bought one at Camp Perry. Wish I had several of them now. Will fit a prone any rifle with scope attached nicely.

Based on this thread, I just picked up one of the Savior single cases. It looks and feels pretty solid, and the 55" length is more than good for my Palma rifle. The zipper seems sturdy too.
It IS a little weird having a rectangular case, but I can adapt.

Best Part? ~$65, with free shipping (CONUS)!
