Need Lab radar help

I bought the JKL trigger since I’m shooting suppressed and sometimes it wouldn’t trigger. Now sometimes I get false velocities when I run the bolt. Many times it says error when I run the bolt but why am I get incorrect velocities? Shooting a 6.5CM with 2700ish velocities and I run the bolt and get a reading of 1800 or 1900. Out of a 5 shot string I have to go in and delete 1-3 erroneous velocities. It’s a pain in the ass.

Two things made my labradar 100% reliable.

1. external inertia trigger
2. Reliable aiming system

What type of aiming system?

I printed the pic rail base from thingiverse and mounted a cheap red dot. Took a bit to get it aimed (did it at 50 then 100 yards). Now it has been bulletproof for aiming out to 600. Turn red dot on, put dot on target and shoot away.

The Doppler trigger is not activated until a moving object enters the radar beam. It will give you velocity data from a bullet, but only starting from the time the bullet entered the beam and back-calculated for shorter distance.

Not trying to argue here, but no matter what you use as a trigger source, the LR will not get a reading on anything until the bullet enters the radar beam. The back-calculation is done no matter which trigger is used.

I Krazy Glued a short (1"?) piece of small brass tubing in the aiming notch. works well enough for me.

Great idea
