˜Need info on the 22 Jaybird cartridge

I recently acquired a barrel chambered for the 22 Jaybird. What is the parent case for this wildcat?
I think the barrel is a 8" twist. I may recharmber it to a 22BR. If I do that, what is the longest 22 bullet that would work with that case/twist combination.
Being primarily a shot range BR shooter, I'm fairly ignorant on the longer range quick twist stuff.

I had one with a slow twist. Jarrett contoured the barrel for a setback. It’s a real barrel burner.

Howdy ,

The .220 Jaybird is formed from .243 Winchester, but could also be formed from any .308Win family brass; if need be.

IMHO - the 1-8 twist would work with the Hornady 75 “ A-Max, but now a days….
you should be ok w/ the 73gr and 75 ELD- Match, 75gr BTHP Match, 76 gr “A-Tip”,
77gr AeroMatch; et al. Maintaining bullet integrity would be more of a challenge when or if you “ lean on it “ w/ your loads.
