SO i bought a Savage BA 110 .338 Lapua already set up with a Bushnell LRS 4.5-30x50 Tactical Elite scope. I got one helluva deal, but the scope will not zero on windage. I got a cartridge bore scope to try and get close, but the windage bottoms out 2 mils from center. I have gone to the Bushnell site to see if I could re-zero, but have not had any luck. I can re-zero the elevation. I am hoping thast there is something that i can do without sending it back to the factory... HELP!

You can check the scope yourself. center both elevation and windage adjustments to get the reticle close to center, and then use a home made cardboard or tape over wood V block setup to rotate the scope wile looking through it and making adjustments until the cross hair intersection does not move off center when the scope is rotated. Put the scope back on the rifle, and by comparing a sighting down the bore of a target to where the scope reticle is pointing you should be able to get a rough idea of how far off the scope mount and rings are pointing. The point of all of this is that the scope may not be the problem at all. The problem may be how the Savage receiver is drilled. If that turns out to be the case, you can probably correct the problem by using offset inserts in Burris Signature rings. I have a 110 that required .020 offset inserts in both front and back rings, offset in opposite directions to center the scope. Luckily with the proper inserts, the scope is very close to center requiring only minor adjustments to zero in.
I bet you find that it is a problem with the base mount holes in the receiver or the holes in the base itself are off center,,I have had a couple Savage rifles and Bushnell scopes and I would look for problems with the rifle/mounts before looking for problems with the scope,,
you might mount it in the Burris rings with the inserts turned sideways to get it centered up,,at least that is how I would try and get it to zero,,

Most likely the Savage action and base, but could also be partially due to bad rings. Doubt it's the scope.
If its off that bad with windage, you should be able to look down the top of the scope to the end of the barrel from directly behind it (not looking through the glass) and tell which way its off. After that, try turning your rings around. Switch the front with the rear and flip them around so the left sides are now on the right. Then place the scope back in the rings and eyeball the straightness again. If the scope now appears closer to being straight with the muzzle, fully lap your rings, mount the scope and bore sight it at 100 yards by removing the bolt and centering the bore on the target while adjusting the scope. No need to shoot it this way. If it won't adjust properly with that bore sighting method, you can be sure the rounds won't hit center of the target.
I have encountered this problem a couple times with rifles in the past (one was a Savage 116 action) and I've been able to work around it each time by doing those steps. Savage is famous for drilling the holes crooked. I use all Burris Signature Zee rings with the eccentric inserts. No marks on the scope tube and they do not slip. I got a cheap ($10) Chinese laser bore sighter. Center your cross hairs and then fool with the different inserts. There are some you-tube videos if you search.

Aluminum Weaver bases perhaps ? They are extruded ,had a crooked one once. Installed a couple of Warne steel bases and the windage problem went away.
Thank you all for the help. Turns out it was the scope rings. I've been able to get it on paper now. I'm out to 500 yds, but it's not right yet... Next step, Burris rings. Thanks again.
