A New Scope Under $2000

If Meopta has the feature set you are looking for.............You are doing yourself a dis-service to not take a look at their stuff. For the money (at any price really)............their optical image quality is stunning. Image quality is as good as my Tract Toric, Nightforces or any other scopes I own. Quite a bit better than my Vortex PST GenII 5-25x50.
I just purchased their Meostar R2, 2.5-15x56 (non-PA version for hunting) and can't wait to get it. I'll post a full comment review when it gets here.

While Meopta has a somewhat different and sometimes strange view (IMHO) on feature sets for the American market use you CANNOT argue against their optical image quality.
I'm also considering their new 5-30x56 FFP Optika 6 to replace the above Vortex for a PRS gun. I'm pretty disappointed in the Vortex's optical quality and eye box area above 20x. From the Meoptas I've viewed.........I'm betting this Meopta will be noticebly better and it's about $300 less than the Vortex. I'm sure the new Tract Toric PRS will be a great scope (just like my 4-20x50) and it does look killer.......... but it's twice the price of the Meopta. From what I've researched and seen................If you're OK with the price............ my choice would be the Tract.

If you can handle the price, my choice would be the new Tract PRS scope. Should be awesome for the money.
Meopta has the best glass I have ever seen through a spotting scope..

I have a couple of Burris XTR II 8-40x50 FFP scopes going on new rifles. I think it has all the right features and the everyday price is ~$1200, but i got one used and the other on a Black Friday sale for ~$800 each - that's really good for the budget. The image is clear, but I won't have the full story until I shoot them; Burris has performed well for shooting buddies, but I always ended up with Leupolds in the Vari-X III LRT series.

I want to stay under the $2,000 production class rules for a scope but want all the bells and whistles. I have several NF models and a Razor HD. I have stared at Athlon BTR 4.5-29×56 APLR5, Bushnell XRS II Elite Tac 4.5-30x50, or Burris XTR III 5.5-30×56mm. Not to add to the pile which one would be the best choice?
If you talking about "PRS Production Class", just make sure you choose First Focal Plane scope. You don't need more than 25x. Cronus, XTR3, Razor Gen1 will all do the job. I would not bother with Production class, but what you want an have fun.
