KOna_stinky,

It looks like from your post on doesn't need a VX3. What model Vortex do you have? I have some Vortex bins I really like.
I've got a Viper 6.5-20x50. (Thats what I use to see the 20cal holes at 300yards)

I also have a Viper 3-9x40 and a Crossfire 6-24x50.

I'm waiting on a Viper PST 6-24x50 SFP for my new 6BR.

If you haven't looked through a Sightron SIII 8-32 or 6-24, I suggest you do. They have great glass and are proving to be very reliable.

For my next scope I'm going to try out a Sightron SIII 8-32. That won't be until later this summer or maybe fall though.

I recently started looking for a Bushnell Tactical Elite scope and made a stop on this forum to see how they rated. I see that opinions vary on the user satisfaction of the scope, so I may broaden my search.

The reason I joined is that I have noticed that a number of suppliers say that the scope is out of stock and cannot be backordered.

Does anyone know what the story is? Perhaps Bushnell knows something that they haven't said.

Thanks for any insights,

MVW

My brother has an Elite 6500 and loves it. I have a 4200 elite 6-24x tactical and it tracks perfect. A little blurry past 20x, but I don't need that kind of magnification anyway. For target shooting I use around 20X and for shooting prairie dogs I keep it around 15X. The Elite line are the best value for the money in my humble opinion.

Always been a lover of the 4200 series, i have a brand new 6500 4 1/2 to 30 in front of me that the ret moves dependant where the focus is set, therefore aiming in the wrong place. Not pa error.
So if shoot 100 yards and then 300 or 600 etc, it will look like you have crossover.

Seen cheaper and a lot dearer scopes do this.

I don't understand what you are trying to convey.

Could well be this scope is a one off imported from the US a couple of months ago, but those are my findings. I would put a bet most shooters wouldnt be able to tell and if they did sense something was up possibly blame it other things as mounts, rail, wind, etc.

You are not alone i have been in talks with a certain other asian producer who eventually cured the problem and now trying frantically to get another to understand and acknowledge.
Scope needs to be rigidly bolted down to a non moveable surface along with head/eye movement eliminated pa error. Adjust parallax hub and see the ret veer off dependant upon what range is set. F class rest not substantial enough to tell unless really bad example.
Will show up on a collimator on low mag as well.

Sorry for the confusion. I looked at cheaperthandirt and a couple of other places and they were all out of stock and wouldn't allow any backorders. I was concerned that they were being discontinued, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I gather they are popular and hard to keep in stock.
