Need a patient smith really good with 6ppc experience

No competition other than out shooting my dad and neighbors !! If I had the time and money I would love to shoot some registered shoots just to learn. I would eat that up. This really is to learn 6ppc and to add another accurate rifle to safe. I love to sight a rifle in and work up a load and play to see if I can find better load. I have shot in several fun varmint shoots and I know the competition out there is tough so this will be a learning playing rifle. Some like to read some movies I like to shoot and load and play all in the name of accuracy even with mid level equipment ! I sent bob an email

My rifle came from Bob. It's an older Hall but it is a dual port action in a scoville stock.
He had a Viper built by Billy Stevens on there the last time I looked. It is not a dual port but it is an awesome rifle for the price

It's still there B39 on top pg2
It's not a dual port but is a right left the next best thing IMO. At worst have Skeetlee chamber a new barrel all in less than 2400 and it would be very competitive. You wouldn't have to wonderful if the rifle was holding you back

That is a heck of a list of rifles - heck I don't care what side it ejects on as long as it's accurate - I really don't want to trim necks but I will if needed and have never fire formed Russian brass but again this is to learn -- and it is winter and nothing like spending a few hours loading or preparing when it's nasty outside - better than watching a great movie for me - start and a few hours later I don't even know what day or time it is - I know a few of you fellas know what I'm talking about ? I will look for the viper

Do a little more research keep asking questions. Anything is better than learning it all the hard and expensive way. Like I did. I started out with an older late 70s BR rig a sleeved model 700. Then a right bolt right eject panda. Finally to the dual port Hall I have now. Spent twice as much as I needed to.
The thing is to see the most accuracy from the PPC it's a lot more than just learning to load for it. If you can't shoot and load it fast enough you loose the wind condition and it's no more accurate than any other good varmint rifle. The rest the ease of bolt lift the action ejection so you can re load without looking up from the flags all matters as much as anything else.
You may think this doesn't matter I'm not going to a match. But you will still want to see those tiny groups or you wouldn't even be thinking PPC. I'm just saying to see those tiny groups it takes it all

A ppc is a grueling endeavor. If you dont do it right you get good groups. To get the spectacular groups youll have 10-12 pcs of turned brass and work up a load for that moment- no preloading will get you there and not turning necks and sorting brass wont do it either. A ppc is like having a racecar- you cant just pull it out and grab a box of ammo it takes constant grueling effort. Once you figure it out you will always have one and be able to outshoot any other gun that shows up inside 300yd
