Need a new powder dispenser. Help me out.

So my RCBS Chargemaster finally pooped out on me. I've had it for several years and have loaded some accurate Ammo using it. It started making all kinds of weird noises, Wild speed fluctuations, and started throwing lots of undercharges. At the end it would not throw the entered charge.

So I know Lyman makes one, Hornady makes one, and of course I could get another Chargemaster. Is there anything else I'm overlooking? Which one would you recommend and what has your experience been?

I have one of the Lyman Gen6's I believe and I'm not impressed. It does alright but I don't have much confidence in it. I usually throw low through a Lee Measure and trickle up on a Sartorius scale. Takes forever but they shoot well.

I would suggest you search on A&D FX 120i scale and Trickler system. I have a perfectly functioning Chargemaster and decided to upgrade when I read all the positive feedback about this system.

Yeah, if I was a professional shooter and my paycheck depended on my loads, then I would consider spending that much. But that's a little overkill for a dude like me who just like loading accurate ammo and shooting steel on the weekends.

for its limited accuracy the chargemaster is a great tool and worth the money.
if it fits your bill, buy another
the fx120i is the next step up and if you do not want or need it,,,chargemaster is the answer.

Then check out the new CM Lite and send your old CM back to RCBS for repair.

The auto trickler, as suggested above, paired with A&D scale. Its $730, but scale has 30% rebate till March 11th, so you will be paying $579 upon receiving rebate check in six weeks. Sell your chargemaster for $200 and your net cost is only $379 and you will have a vastly superior system that is faster and more accurate. About to do the same as I have been researching this all week. Two shooting buddies of mine recently upgraded to the above system with dropper, $900, and are quite impressed. Both upgraded from chargemasters.

What's the longevity and warranty like on that system?

+1 for charge master, amazing accuracy for a automated scale.

I have a CM that I was unsure of its accuracy until I got
the FX120I. Come to find out it's on the money w/the high
end scale. I now drop w/a Harrels and trickle w/a Little Dandy.
Its faster than the CM, but I cant say its any more accurate.
Your mileage may vary. LDS

I did as some above, sold the RCBS and put money towards 120i and Auto Trickler... cost more than the Chargmaster but well worth the money.

Depends on the disipline and your Pocketbook. I load outside on the range. I reprogrameed the R C B S to trickle the last grain. Works great. Cross checked it against my Acculab Sartorius Vicon and have it dropping DEAD ON or within 1/10 0f 1 grain

Your components may be the best but Mother nature will have a say
