Powder measure/dispenser

I use these straws $1.99. I cut them about 1.5" long the cut one end up the side about 1/2" so it forms a cone shape and insert in nozzle. The powder collects around the small end to hold in place. When it throws the first charge, you have to hold the end from coming out for a second until the power forms around the small end. Also wipe the straw with a dryer sheet too. Any plastic straw will work this way. Been using them for years. It helps when the only powders I use are IMR 4350, 4320, 4064, 4895 4451, 4166, RL16. The only one I don't need a straw for is 296 for the 300 BLK.

I used to shoot with a member that posted here, that owned a 1500 chargemaster like the old one I have. He was sold on the idea of adding a ground wire to the chargemaster. He had some thing set up on his that grounded to the house electrical system. He was an engineer at Perry Oceanographics, so I know that the idea had merit, I just don't know if it solved all problems. I wish one of you electronics guys would tell me if it will reduce the static issue.

Ebb,

Have you tried the Dryer sheets? Static Cling. I understand that they really work.
You may have to reuse a dryer sheet every so often.

Yes but one cannot be too sure. Since mine was so far off on the weights, i wipe it every time i turn it on.

Over the years, I found that the time required to "warm-up" AND my overall charge weight was slightly influenced by the air temperature of my workshop. On warm days, a 10-15 minute warm-up was satisfactory, whereby cold days needed more like 25 minutes+. All good once warmed up.
