Nebraska State F-Class match 8/27/2016

Just got a pic from the line, looks like they have a crowd there! Drew has already posted a 225-19x but I don't think that's official yet. Lol
Please keep us up to date, Brian Bowling, Barry Holcomb made the trip from west TN.

Rod won 2nd is all I know so far. Lol I got a pic of some guys with huge trophies but I only recognize Greg Taylor and can't really see the trophies well since they are glass.

Talked to a shooter, randy snook won open, there was I think 3 to 4- 600's

It turned out to be a close match in F-TR, and F-Open was even closer. F-Open was actually won by "Creedmoor", as the top two shooters had the same exact numerical/X score. So F-Open was decided by head-to-head comparison of scores starting with the last shot and counting backwards. Randy Snook won F-Open overall by this tie-breaker system. Weather started off cool and cloudy, but warmed up nicely once the sun came out. The wind generally wasn't very strong, but there were quite a few fast switches that caught some people napping. The prize table was outstanding, really over the top. Prizes were awarded by random draw, so a number of folks went home with some very nice swag. My thanks to Dave Cole and Shane Miller for putting on an outstanding match. Really, hats off to you both for a very well run match. The scores are posted below with one correction: I believe Shannon Turner actually shot F-Open. I know for sure that Damon Cali placed 3rd In F-TR.

"Displaced Norwegian" does his clan proud!! Kudos from the rest of the Northern tribe! 4-600's..yikes glad I took my good barrel off and did yard work instead. Remdog...one point..one X, you are consistent! Should've softened them up with some of that tasty salsa!! Ye Ha!! Good shooting boys! Congrats on some fine shootin! Eric in DL

Congratulations to Greg Taylor, who continues to demonstrate .223 Rem F-TR efficacy, both mid and long range. Congrats also to all the other winners. It looks like a fine turnout and one blessed with good weather.

This is what I've got. The trophies are very, very nice. From left to Right: Rod Vigstol @Nodak7mm , 2nd Open Resident, Chris Longley @remdog 2nd Overall Open, Greg Taylor @gstaylorg 1st Overall FTR and 1st FTR Resident, and me 2nd Overall FTR. And yes they are glass in the center, so they are hard to get a representative picture....

Thanks to all of the sponsors. The prize table was unbelievable. Alot of happy participants who made out like bandits. Thanks to Dave and Shane and their crew for a fun time. Worth the drive just to see friends old and new, much less to get to burn some powder. Drew

Drew, your right, that pix dont do those trophies justice. The glass ones had frosted relief of a cartridge case and a really nice font. Some of the coolist/nicest trophies I've seen..

Make sure you show Garald this pic and tell him it was all because of the hats...

I just want to point out that Greg is a jerk. :) For the 2nd time in as many months, he shot two spotters in a row while I was pulling his target. As if the X ring needed any more damage. Seriously, though, nice shooting Greg. You earned it.

Thanks Dave Cole, Shane Miller, and other volunteers for running an excellent match with great competition.
My 1st visit to ENGC. I hope to be back.
Incredible prize table and trophies. Thank you vendors who support our sport.

Randy Snook
