Natural Point of Aim

I have been working on my natural point of aim, when bench rest shooting. Many say the rear bag is a critical piece. I’m currently using the leather Protektor with rabbit ears, since I don’t have to adjust much after coming off the gun. Everyone probably has their brand that they like but is the rabbit ear design a good choice?

Where I shoot BR, those who are not using mechanical rear rests ($$$$) are using rabbit ears. However, there are many versions and for every four shooters there seams to be five opinions on what is the best design. Totally unsupported opinion by me is that the design of your rifle's rear stock should dictate the design of the the rear bag's rabbit ears. Here is an example of what I mean:
My rear bag:

And a bag I borrowed and felt might work better (but I am not ready to spend the money,,,yet)\
possible new rear bag 3.jpg

That 1/2" gap and lower ears seems to support my Savage rifle better that the taller V ears.

Thanks for the pics and your thoughts that the stock should determine the size of the Protektor bag. I have the 13A standard bag and will continue to work on my aim.

Question, is there a reason that the bag in the one pic is facing backwards?

@Dkk37058 & @Zonkers
I was just trying the loaner bag out and this was the photo I happened to take. I did like the way my stock fitted into the 1/2" gap and the way the shorter ears hugged the stock.
Like I said, I have not bought it.....yet. LOL

I am thinking about purchasing the Protektor bag stabilizer to add some height and establish a better foundation since the wood bench is not the best.
