Natural Point of Aim

I have been working on my natural point of aim, when bench rest shooting. Many say the rear bag is a critical piece. I’m currently using the leather Protektor with rabbit ears, since I don’t have to adjust much after coming off the gun. Everyone probably has their brand that they like but is the rabbit ear design a good choice?

Where I shoot BR, those who are not using mechanical rear rests ($$$$) are using rabbit ears. However, there are many versions and for every four shooters there seams to be five opinions on what is the best design. Totally unsupported opinion by me is that the design of your rifle's rear stock should dictate the design of the the rear bag's rabbit ears. Here is an example of what I mean:
My rear bag:

And a bag I borrowed and felt might work better (but I am not ready to spend the money,,,yet)\

That 1/2" gap and lower ears seems to support my Savage rifle better that the taller V ears.
