My savage f class has a lot of potential

Finally got to shoot my new f-class savage tonight. NXS 5.5-22 in TPS steel rings and badger base. Not bedded yet, 65 in/lb on the front and middle screws with 30in/lbs on the rear. Had 20 rds loaded up with 30 grn varget and br-4 in virgin Lapua brass. 10 107smk, 5 at 1.775 and 5 at 1.785oal from the ogive. 10 with 105 berger, 5 at 1.760 and 5 at 1.775, these where just jammed and .015 jammed. The rifle did not care much for the bergers but loved the smk's. Just fired one 5 shot group for each OAL but the 1.775 smk shot a .298" group and the other smk load, which was out of a clean bore managed 1/2". Prone from a pedastal rest and a rear bean bag. Looking forward to monday when I get some bedding compound and try some powder increases with the smk at the shorter OAL. Appearently my chamber was cut with proper freebore as I have around 1/4" of bearing surface in the case neck and am real close to the rifling

I've heard good things about the 107 SMK's and the Savage 6mmbr barrels but the load was with VV-150......can't wait to try mine!
