My new PTG bolt

My bolt came with a roll pin for the ejector......Ill just say its a LITTLE STIFF. Do I need to do something different here the spring is in the right place and its not backwards. Ill take it out just seeing there is a trick someone knows here. I should have checked the clearance on the roll pin to the ejector "hole" before installing but giddiness got the bestest of me.

Does it return to the closed position if you move it to the open position or is it sluggish?

Take it apart and make sure there wasn't any type of "packing grease" inside the hole that interferes with the smooth operation.

You may have to polish the extractor pin hole alittle to make it work smoothly. If the pin pivots then just polish it alittle.

I'm in the exact same boat. Brand new PTG bolt and that extractor is STIFF. How do you polish such a small hole to free it up a little?

Pretty standard John was right again on this one. I also took a pair of Klines and squeezed the roll pin closed until I could spin the extractor around on the roll pin with zero resistance. works erfect

Have the hole reamed with a reamer. The holes for the retention pin were drilled after the ejector was drilled there is most likely swarf in the hole. A standard Remington ejector, spring and retention pin will fit. Remington uses a roll pin the hold the ejector in place. There is an indention in the extractor that must be lined up fir the pin to go through and lock the ejector in place.
