My new (joystick) bipod.

The designing and machining of your brainchild has really gotten my juices flowing, being a toolmaker. Nothing I like better at work than for an engineer to give me a problem to solve in fixturing or a widget to make/design along the way.

Man, that surely looks like a work of art. I've been thinking about what it would take to make what you've been doing for the BR guys. I'm sure there would be a lot of areas to consider........those that you've already "considered" & solved. Luv a challenge.

Not being an F class shooter (although my club does hold regular matches) I'm curious as to how critical the weight factor is? One poster mentioned keeping it under 2.2 kilo and I see you paying attention to 3 oz and being on the light side of 30 oz. Educate me guys.

Hope England went well for you.

In F-T/R F-Class shooting, the weight limit for the rifle is 8.25 Kg (or 18.15 lbs.). This weight limit includes anything that is attached to the rifle, including the bipod. Minimizing weight on the bipod means you can use the weight for other things like barrel contour and length, or scope, etc.

This sure looks awesome! The legs look like they would hold up my car when changing a flat tire. Have you thought about making the legs half the size (not shorter) and using two set screws? Something more square by reducing the width. You should be able to reduce some weight that way. I also like the idea of triangular legs but not sure how the slide groove would work out.

Cant feature would be vital for my uses.
I already have guys getting on the waiting list.
I can see this bi-pod having more uses than just F-Class by the way.
Especially if there was a way to change out the feet or make a version with different feet, to where one could load a bi-pod if so desired.
