Was this a Texas heart shot by chance? I was looking for the wound damage from that cannon and cannot see it. :)

In my book, that is a nice fat older looking buck.Did you age him?
No Jon we didn't.But he was pretty heavy through the chest. My guess is 3.5...I will check the teeth this weekend. She wants a euro mount.

No sir.The entry is on the side in the pic.High in the crese of the shoulder. He was quartered to us.The exit is about mid body on the far side.Exit about the size of a softball.

Congrats! Did it get her hooked on hunting? Just out of curiosity, what county are you in?
Not really. She hunted some before. But i got her started in the longer range stuff. That deer was from Clinton county.Thank you everyone

That was a terrific LR shot! Conratulations. A shot like that is what memories are made of.

Allow me to add that, although I've passed up opportunities to shoot because what I had in hand was too small and likely not to result in a good kill, I've never passed up a shot because what I was carrying was too big. Congrats on making the right decision and on being lucky enough to have a lady who isn't afraid of the gun. She's a winner ....

She has shot everything i have put her behind. And shot it well too..Only downside is all the reloading i have to do after a range trip...She has to be carried away from the guns kicking and screaming.. ;D
