My Dear Dad

"and I'll Miss him until we're together again.
GodSpeed, Dad"

My Dad died in 2000, Mom joined him in 2007. Miss them but know they had lived a full life and thankful for the lessons for life they instilled in me.

Prayers and positive thoughts to you and your family.

Fond memories of them whenever one or two of their guns go to the range with us!

My sincere condolences for your loss. The passing of a parent is milestone in one's life.
Focus on the fond memories, your good fortune of knowing your dad, and on helping others in their time of grief.

Prayers sent, Dad passed 5yrs ago the 29th of this month at the age of 90. Still hurts, but less with time. What made/makes it easier was his last almost 10 months was in a nursing home, not a good place mentally for a guy who grew up on the land farming and ranching his entire life. Visited him at least twice a week. He was so depressed, miserable and therefore not kind to the staff that for his sake he is better off. Came from a family of 10 with him being #6. Lost his father in 1936 at the age of 13, left home @ 15 to work a threshing crew to make money for his mother. A stint in Austria, Germany and France as mostly an MP. Worked his way from nothing to owning a small farm/ranch that was paid for by the time he was 65. A very hard man that wasn't much of a people person and definetly not a social person. A nursing home and losing all dignity was not the place for him, so for him I am happy, for me, not so much! He only talked about what he wanted, end of story. So not knowing for sure if he was a true believer or not hurts the most!

So sorry for your loss. I know how you feel, I lost my best friend 8 years ago. What's helped me cope is remembering the good times we had and the funny things he'd do to make me laugh. My Prayers are with You and Your Family.

I’m sorry for loss and that he had to fight such a fight at the end.
Thoughts and prayers headed your way. He is free now and all of us will follow.

My Father lives with me, has for 11 years. I dread the day he doesn’t come out of his room. He’s become a best friend.

He was my Best Friend, and I'll Miss him until we're together again.
GodSpeed, Dad

Focus on those words for one day you will be united with the most important man in your life. Take a minute each day and talk with him, tell him what's going on in your life, how you are going to handle a situation with his help and then recall his advice.
My sincere condolences and my prayers for both of you.
Pat

Thank You All So Much, for your Well Wishes and Prayers! It Really means a lot!
I also extend My Sympathy and Prayers, to those of You, that have had to experience personal losses of loved ones.

It is my belief that all fathers do not want their children to suffer unnecessarily, with out exceptions. Fathers want their children to carry on and have a great life after their passing just as they had to do after their father passed away. I have been down this road like many others and I can only offer this pray:

It is my prayer that the pain of your loss will fade and that you will be left with a smile at every thought of your father. That you will find renewed wisdom in his words and inspiration in his actions.

As others have said, it sure hurts to lose your Dad. It takes a man to make a man, and I hope he is looking down and proud of who and what you are.
