most forgiving powder for 223

Ditto
I use Benchmark in .204, .223, 6br and it works wonderfully for all of them. Burns clean, meters to within +/- .2gr, temp tolerant, good FPS and SD's. Just everything I want in a varmint powder.

+1 on Benchmark. Meters great, not temp sensitive, accurate as all get out, and fast.

+1 for Benchmark on 40gr VMax. It flows like a dream, temperature stable, and just the right speed to drive the smaller bullets.

you have some good advice, so i will throw mine in,

i use a progressive loader, on 222, and find that aa2015 flows evenly, and is slightlyfaster than h335, slower than 4198, accurcy is good and velocities are consistant.

Just gotta say it again,WC 844/same as h335.You can get it from hi-tech ammo .com for 99.00/8#'s ,you buy 4 and get free shipping.

Benchmark works very good with the light bullets, I have used it with bullets up to 55's. I looked in the nosler manual and had to try it. It does very well on metering. also have used vv n130 with 45 grain and they screem. I also have used a lot of H335 with the 55gr but is dirtier, I use imr 4895 but it may not measure to your standards. get a pound of the various powders and let your gun decide.
