Most Accurate Electronic Powder Thrower/Measure Available?

I like the idea of the Chargemaster, but is the electronic scale that comes with it accurate? Does it drift?

Certainly did in my reloading room. More like "did the hula" at times. No drafts, no air blowers, no fluorescents, but lots of RF noise.

The issue with the charge master is the scale. It has a resolution of +/- .1 grains. Unless you’re loading a case with a grain capacity of greater Than 400 grains powder .2 grain spread will kill your accuracy. Also I’ve found the charge master to not properly report the true weight. It may read say 41.0 grains but actually the weight could be .3 or more off one way or the other.
For the most hunters and plinkers this is fine if you’re shooting under 500 yards and even then at that distance you can have a miss or bad shot from the powder charge alone.
so reality the charge master wasn’t designed for the precision shooter in mind.
The fastest and most accurate powder dispenser system current is the Prometheus 2, now not everyone can chunk down over 5k to purchase one. So for the most this is out. Next in line is probably the auto dispenser setup with the fx120 scales. I can’t comment on their accuracy as I don’t use that particular scale. I do have the Sartorius Entris and I’m still working out kinks between the unit and my scale on a negative drift. I’ve done a few things that’s helped and instead of using it in auto mode I’m doing semi auto. I’m setting my lightened powder cup on the scale and waiting for my scale to “0” out then I’ll dispense a charge. So far so good on this technique and it’s still fast. So until I can confidently trust this 100% I’m going to use it my way.

now let’s move onto the MatchMaster by RCBS. this scale has potential. There’s a fine line between speed and accuracy. Which do you prefer? Me I want accuracy. It’s not as fast as the other 2 I own but I’m still playing with the app settings and tweaking the parameters built into the app. The resolution on this scale is +/- .02 grains folks that’s a kernel of powder that’s as good and accurate as the auto dispenser and fx120 scale. Now I just have to learn what the scale actually weighs by comparing it to my Sartorius scale and tweaking that final tune for trickle to that last kernel without dropping 2-3 kernels. I’ve been working with the master engineer on this and we are getting it close. Sadly though it’s going to over throw about 20% of the drops by a kernel or 2. Once I get this down to 10% or less I’ll post my settings on here for this particular scale for others to use as a reference.

I really like my Auto Tricker/Auto Throw V3 with my Sartorius Entris 128. It is fast, accurate, and measures to .001 grains--which is finer than we need. However if you want the most precise setup, this combo would have to be near the top.

The scale is so sensitive that minor breezes and room temperature changes will register. I use +/- .010 grains for my tolerance when loading my 6 BRA, and +/-.015 for the 300 WSM, both LR BR rigs. A kernel of Varget usually runs between .018 and .022, H4895 is around .014 (give or take) and RL 23 and H4831SC are around .030. Each kernel varies a little in weight and the Sartorius will show that.

On hunting rifles I don't worry about the tolerance. I just take what it ever it throws, which is usually +/- one kernel.
