most accurate 22 lr pistol

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that mine is the most accurate but I will say WOW!! I have a heavy barreled buckmark that, with the yellow box Eley will out shoot the shooter for sure! It is amazing how accurate those things are. The triggers are really nice too. Crisp and consistent. Id buy ten more in a heartbeat.. After I won the lottery that is ;)

Out of all the pistols I have shot and own, I have to say for factory out of the box accuracy the Ruger Single Six is hard to beat. I also own a Browning Buckmark Contour stainless URX in 7-1/4", that is deadly accurate. And I have a S&W 22/32 kit gun in stainless that will hang with either of the fore mentioned pistols.

I have no idea. But of the two I own, an old Ruger standard Mk11, and an even older S&W K22, the K22 is more accurate. I wish every firearm I own had a trigger like my K22. Barlow

The 2 most accurate 22lr handguns that I've owned and I've owned over 25 rimfire handguns is either my Hammerli sp20 or my Sig P210. They outshot my S&W 41's, any high standard that I've ever owned, buries any Ruger MK1, 2, or 3 or the 2 Walthers that I had.

1st place is still held by an early T/C Contender with Super 14 “Match” barrel and 2x Leupold. In 2nd is a Ruger Mark II Government Model which also ended up with a 2x Leupold after me near vision got too weird, and is now with all Volquartsen’s best trigger stuff.

I have several of the ones listed...but the one I use is a Ruger Mark III Hunter. It's stainless with a fluted bull barrel. Mine has a Trijicon RMR sight and I carry it coon hunting and have never failed to bring one out of the tree. Sometimes the "tree" is a poplar over 100 feet tall and the coons typically go high. bear in mind that all this is done at night and the pistol is not babied while following the hounds...for what all that is worth. Not much to rest on when shooting straight up....

my pardini pgp75 is a one holer, but the hammerli 105 I started shooting free pistol with was definitely my favorite (and was NOT for sale). I also have done well with my walther gsp. the best thing is that the walther will shoot any ammo without a hitch...the Pardini has an appetite to go with the price tag. I suppose that .22 has to find the right food source to really shine.
cheers,
doc

As mentioned it would depend on what I wanted to use it for.
22 Pistol Silhouette- The Anschutz Exemplar

22 Semi Auto- Marvel Unit 1. But I would specify one of the select group options. I've seen some of their group buttons (each unit comes with a test target group button) that were down at 3 tenths of an inch at 50 yards with Eley Tenex.

22 Revolver- Freedom Arms.

High Standard Supermatic Citation model 104 (the model with the 8" barrel, removable muzzle brake and removable barrel weights to adjust both overall weight and balance) worked great for me in bullseye shooting for years. For tack driving accuracy, the easiest pistol I ever shot offhand was a Hammerli free pistol, but you really had to sneak up on that ultra light trigger. :)
