I was reading in the guns of the week #36 about the savage and he said he wasn't sure if the action trueing helped any. As an Army guy with 3 rugrats my toy budget is limited. I know Pac-Nor will true your action and barrel it if you want them to, but is extra cost necessary, and is their process beneficial? I would probably buy one of Richard Franklin's low cost stocks and try to inlet it myself, and would prefer the accu-trigger but could deal with a replacement if there is one that won't give me nightmares. I like the whole low cost savage option but I really do mean low cost. Also I saw on some other posts; members recommending to just get any old savage action long- short doesn't matter. Is this true in the race for accuracy. I have an AR that prints in the 1/4 inch range pretty regular when I drive it right, so I kinda am spoiled/expectant of that kinda performance.
Thanx in advance for anyones help.
