MO F-Class State Championship July 9-10, 2016

Wes, you would have blended in at this match wearing a towel on your head. Lol. Greg Taylor took it to the next level with a white tarp tucked under his hat that dragged behind him like a cape. Lawrence of Arabia with grommets!! Lol

Couple things I think I know,,,

1. Ryan and the Bucksnort crew put on one hell of a match. I suspect business will pick up, so get entered early....more folks will want to come try their hand at "The Tunnel" and enjoy the wonderful fellowship and food at this great match.
2.Kevin Shepherds record is legit. I proud of him and for him,,happy to call him my shooting and traveling partner.
3.James Laney picked up the fumbled football and run it in for a touchdown...Mr.Brian Bowling kept him honest. Well done men.
4.Mr. Greg Taylor,,,what is there to say...You sir put on a shooting exhibition with that 223. I suspect you will be fielding a lot of questions about it. Well done.
5.This is too my wife Tracy.......your rifle is fine..the scope is fine..the rest is fine..the load is fine.:D

6. I want to say thank you to Ryan and his wife and all the Bucksnort Crew for putting on a great shoot, always making us feel welcome and helping to ensure that we do not lose any weight during our visit! Congrats to my friends Kevin and Sheryl sooooo proud..........Congrats to you James Laney for an awesome weekend and thank you for sharing top secret advice with me :). Mr. Greg Taylor I am very very new to the shooting side of this but know enough about FTR to realize that this was phenomenal! TO MY HUSBAND NORMAN..... My rifle is awesome, love my Farley, LIKE my scope (need a NF hint hint) but did anybody else hear him say "HERE SHOOT THIS BOX OF AMMO FIRST?" :p:p:D:D

It was warmer than we wanted but the scores show the intensity of the match. Was wiping sweat from my eyes with both hands on every shot nearly. James Laney and Greg Taylor dug in deep to shoot those scores on a very hot weekend. Congrats guys!
Oh yeah, the team match was such a train wreck by both the state open teams that we just awarded our bets to the rightful winners " The old and the beautiful" gang took us out!!

To be honest Tracy I didn't even look at the scores. Both state teams were having mechanical issues and it just wasn't a fair fight like we had planned. Your team was the only choice. Ha ha. Everyone had a ball listening to the excitement myself included. You were having a good match!

Glad you got that degree, add up the FTR team scores and figure out the winner! Lmao

Just a quick note on how proud I am of Skip Barkley. When a shooter had a medical emergency Skip was called by some shooters that knew his medical background. His quick thinking helped bring this to it's best outcome till the ambulance crews arrived. He then continued with his match as if it was just another ordinary day. Heard later the man was able to return to the range to retrieve his truck.

The shooting was the easy part...maintaining the beauty (I think we all know who that was) for two days in that heat and humidity was a huge challenge in itself. The being old was hard on the rest of the team too!

I would also like to thank Ryan, his wife and all the Bucksnort guys and gals for an awesome weekend. There were some incredible scores shot! Congrats to Kevin for the new National Record! Enjoy the fame! Also to James Laney and Greg Taylor for taking 1st in their respective categories! It was a great weekend with super people and some great food! I hope I can convince a few other "right coasters" to go out next year! Maybe Mr. Weil (cigarcop) would like to take a road trip and a few of my Bridgeville teammates.

Keep'em in the x ring!

I would like to say something about Bucksnort that hasn't been mentioned. The range it's self. Don't let anybody kid you, this isn't a trigger pulling contest. I lost 9 points the second match Sunday before you could say 10 on. It was one of those - stop- sit up- look around- catch your breath - think about packing up and going home moments. It's a beautiful range, so well taken care of I'd call it manicured. They mowed the firing line after we shot Saturday! It, the line, sure looked good Sunday morning and seemed like the very appropriate place for Pat Rodgers to remind of some very good words of wisdom. Thanks Pat.

The town of Marshall is a very clean, has a bunch of really nice folks, and is easy to get around in. I ate at The Brick BBQ one night, it was very good, and as Greg Barkley so eloquently stated, "Some Mom and Pop place across from Walmart. I wasn't until a little later that Skip told me to never let Greg navigate. We finally found the place and there were several Shooters present soaking up the AC. After a great meal, Skip suggested we should visit the "Jim the Wonder Dog" garden downtown. I didn't know he was such Museum hound. If you don't know about Jim, it's worth the trip.

Ryan, please sign me up for next year.
