Kudos to you Alex. Didn't really want to read another pissing match. dedogsThe first sentence in my original post was, I'd like to start a civil discussion. Key word, civil. I deleted the thread. Feel free to start a new one, its a topic worth talking about. We all can get so focused on our own personal shooting and forget about the sport's general health. If you dont have anyone to shoot against its not as much fun.
I hope to get to meet you one day Sir, you hit the nail on the the head! I shoot to enjoy myself and the friends I've made ALL over this Great country! So start a new thread
How to attract shooters to regular scheduled matches
Joe hit the nail on the head, meeting new people with the same interests, making new friends and visiting old ones, bettering yourself while competing against others. That's what drives me. I go for the fun, the day it's no longer fun I'll find something else to do that is.
When you begin to compete for money and big prizes, pay big entry fees a lot of guys start bickering, get mad because this guy did this and that guy did that. At least that's my take on it
I ilke big prize matches, and have faired out well in a few, also have come home with nothing more than a t-shit or a bottle of solvent, but, I had just as much fun with a big reward as I did with a t-shit. It's the guys I got to meet and see that I haven't seen for a long time.
