Miroku built 1885 in 6mm PPC

The most fun I've ever had was with my SAKO Vixen Hunter in 6mm PPC. It was the most accurate factory rifle I'd ever shot. I never should have sold it. Now days I'm enamored with the 1885 Winchester. I have an extra one with a crescent butt and a 1/2 oct-1/2 rnd barrel and I was wondering what other people think of converting it to 6mm PPC-USA caliber.
Flame the hell out of me but I'm interested in your thoughts~! I also like the 6mm ARC caliber~!

I think you should follow your passion. It's your rifle, build it as you wish and ignore any detractors. Sounds like a hoot in either 6mm version, and something truly unique.

I find myself shooting single shot rifles more and more 4- hi walls.
Currently building a 7x57 on a rem roller, 1897 model with smokeless action and a 24" tapered GM barrel, with curly maple stock and forearm, scope base with a 3x9x40 Leupold on it. Just need to hot blue, and finish the stocks, ready for deer season. To each his own, sounds like a fun rifle, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I had a B78, similar to the 1885, rebarreled with a Brux in 244AI. It’s 28” heavy tapered octagon. I really like it.
