Micrometer Source Needed

Midway has the RCBS ball Micrometer. I use one with a home-made stand and find it as accurate as the high dollar brands.

The Sinclair and the K & M are set up to measure neck thickness, allowing you to get the spindle and ball close to the shoulder of the case. The Sinclair does this by making the outside edge of the spindle line up with the center of the ball. K & M tapers the spindle allowing it to get close to shoulder. Both work. I like the K & M.

I bought the K & M thinking I would later order a mic stand for it. Not sure I will after using it in hand.

You're purchasing a micrometer SierraCJ5, not a dial caliper. Put your money towards a quality made instrument. Mitutoyo is hard to beat. Check out the Long Island Indicator site. They give the good and bad of everything made.
