Yes we do need to increase the percentage of paying members. We really need to bring in some hired help. I am 67 and the time demands are really significant -- 10+ hours a day pretty much every day of the month.

And the costs of servers, firewalls, security stuff has risen significantly in the past two years.

Couple of posts with guys ‘trying unsuccessfully’ to donate or donate for others. Might be worth a look.

We can’t thank you enough! I hope more people will think about what it takes to make this site run, it doesn’t run by itself and I’m sure very few if any of us truly understand what a commitment it truly is. I’ll be making a donation tonight. I’m happy to renew a gold membership annually and I try to add to it when I can, I use the classifieds all the time, it’s good to give back.

I see some non-contributors giving great advice = contributing. How do we know WHY? Maybe it's not black or white.!

Thing I noticed is that the folks who've been using this forum the longest time, seem to be the ones who fail to become paying members. the same holds true for the big time competitors.

Thanks for the nudge. I just upgraded from Freeloader to Gold. I've been an inactive member for a while and recently got more tuned in to the forum. Time to pay up! The local digital "newspaper" wants twice the cost for biased, inaccurate, poorly written drivel. Considering the information shared and the camaraderie on this forum, it's well worth $50/yr to help keep the lights on. It's a no-brainer!

Been a Gold Member for three or four years now ; Silver for a year or two before that , but who keeps track of that kind of stuff if you're a "paying" member . Point is ; If you aren't a "Paying Member" , then you are abusing the Site members and cheating those who are keeping this site up & running .

There isn't a better Forum on the Net that provides more , or better information for the Shooting Sports , no matter what Discipline you shoot or compete in . So it's time to pony up and keep things functioning . Or maybe it's time for the "BOSS" to make it mandatory for a paid membership to be here , at all . If you're already a Paid Member , it won't change anything , but if you've been ridin on somebody else's dime , it's time to kick in , or get out .

I recall the Forum Boss once stating that only about 3-4 % of the members were contributors. That kind of steams me as well. ...........I had more to rant about but it was fixing to get ugly.

But why would this stop you? You have seen the wealth of information on this site I feel it needs to be maintained. We will forever have freeloaders on a free site, I try to look past that as I was one of them at one time!
