Am I doing this correctly? - I wanted to find a more precise H20 volume when using quickload.
Measuring 5.56 right now.
The default setting in QL is 28.49 grains.
I measured some fired brass. Sig and Lake City.
Average Sig empty (with fired primer) = 93.7
Average LC (with fired primer) 96.4
Sig + water filled to the neck and dry on the outside = 124.9
LC + water = 127.5
Which magically comes out to 31.2 grains of water for each.
Is that the number that quickload is looking for? 31.2?
I ask solely as a sanity check, because it works out to be like a 10k PSI difference. And yes, I understand QL is for estimates only blah blah blah.
