Mcmillian stock inlet

Getting ready to inlet my first mcmillian flat top stock. Well sort of flat top action screw are already there. Needs the trigger guard bolt handle cut ejection port. Anything I need to pay close attention to. Any advice would be very welcomed. Will be doing this on a manual mill. Wish me luck

Is it really a flatop? Does it have the barrel channel and basic action area in it? I've never seen an actual flat top where they placed the action screw holes...not that it couldn't happen.

Like I said sort of flat top basic action area and barrel channel been cut. Bolt notch and trigger guard and port have not been cut or the trigger area

That'd be a "basic inlet" vs a "flat top" which would be, flat and not inletted for barrel or action

Ok...so it's what's refered to as a 'basic' inlet. Thats a good thing.

I always start with where I want the trigger to be. With the action screw holes already in it, mock it up using that location and see where the trigger ends up. What action are you using?
