Modifying ejection port stock inlet

On actions like Defiance or Mack Bros the ejection port is longer than regular 700 actions. In the past I've lengthened the rear of the ejection port inlet on wood stocks and used tru-oil to refinish raw area. What do you guys do on synthetic stocks? Like the colored ones with spider web, etc.
Other than cosmetics, will there be ejection problems if the inlet is not opened up?

We just did one on a synthetic stock. We just matched the color of the rest of the port as closely as we could. We prefer to cerakote the whole stock
