Hi,
I'm thinking of using a Barnard SM for my next build. Has anyone here ever dropped one into a Remington SA inlet? I understand that the Barnard is slightly longer so the front of the action inlet will need to be lengthened so that the action does not sit back to far and the bolt holes line up, it will also need provision for a recoil lug. Ejection port alignment?
It will be pillar bedded into a GRS laminate with a Remy inlet if it works??
I have one side saying works no problem with a bit of fettling and the other saying use the Kelbly inlet????
I'm hoping to cut down on the amount of inletting required rather than starting with a flat top.
Any thoughts?
