Mcmiilian action is it a 700 clone?

Someone local to me has a McMillian Tac 308 for sale with a US Optics fixed 10X mil mil for sale and I may buy it. My question is, is a McMillian action a 700 clone action so I can swap out the trigger for a Jewel I already have for my current 700? It comes with a Timney, which I know is good but I like Jewels better.

Personally I'm thinking $2500 for the gun which is flawless, scope, Pelican case, and Harris bipod is a pretty good deal. I scoped the barrel and believe him when he said he only has 300 rounds down the tube. Throat has zero wear.

Sounds like a great deal to me. I had a McMillan TAC 300 with a G30 Action. I loved the action...wish I wouldn’t have sold it. If McMillan would sell their actions I would buy one for a build today. Yes, it’s 700 footprint.

Awesome, just pulled the trigger and bought it. Thanks for your input, of coarse its supposed be a high of fricking zero this weekend, I might just have to suck it up and shoot it.
