Ok it hurts me a tiny bit to post this but I’m fishing. I purchased a really cheap semi auto McCoy even after reading a few bad reviews. I’ve wasted more money on less and this Turkish shotgun may turn out to be a real turd but i want it to shoot ! I shoot a lot of clays in the back yard and buy the cheapest 7-1/2 dove loads but it will not shoot the light stuff. Just will not cycle enough to eject the hull. Now I’ve searched for info on the shotgun and there’s just not much out there on it especially on reversing piston for lighter loads. The piston has an arrow labeled light load but the dang arrow points in both directions !! So I’m not sure if it’s reversible or not or if it was set for light load initially. It has one ring and I’ve lubed it and stored with bolt open to help decrease spring tension. I have not shot it since i flipped piston around only because im not sure this should be done ! I’m not going to shoot high brass just to get it to cycle reliably ! I’m posting just in case someone else purchased this cheap shotgun and is familiar with getting it to cycle light dove loads. I have only shot a couple boxes of shells through it so it may improve on its on after break in ? But really didnt want to shoot with flipping piston without asking. McCoy website is useless as far as info ! Appreciate any info you can offer.
