Need help with Old Shotgun

Riesel

Gold $$ Contributor
It's a family heirloom and may be down for the count. It is a J. C. Higgins model 101.1 shotgun in .410 gauge that has a broken extractor. Have tried about every parts place that I can think of and received one from Numerich but it is for a larger gauge, probably 12. Have also tried Jack First, Ebay,
Popperts Gun parts and also as a long shot Savage as this Sears shotgun was built by them and is also know as a Savage Model 94. Any suggestions? Not really ready to put this old shotgun in the closet forever quite yet. I would appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Robert

Called Lee's gun parts and he had none in stock. He said they are getting pretty scarce. He was, however, able to recommend some other parts places and I was able to find one (hopefully the right one) from the Gun Garage. I spoke to quite a few parts places and their customer service and everyone of them was courteous and tried to be as helpful as possible. A Big "Shout Out" to all of them. When that ejector gets here, I'm going to try my hand at fabricating one.

Any real gun smith should be able to make one . But I don't know any . All are gone .
Someone above said he would try . That is the person I would try . Larry

Sorry , my stash of shotgun parts has nothing that matches . Most are 12 or 16 gauge
Sorry, didn't know you were still looking. I actually found one at the Gun Garage. It was in fairly good condition and after a little filing and bending and fitting it worked perfectly. I suggested to the client that he use this shotgun sparingly and start looking for another old break open single shot, something in 20 gauge. Gary, I appreciated your looking.
