Just an observation
Pay the custom Bullet makers what ever he asks and be thankful they are offering their expertise at any price
The bullets capable of the extreme accuracy required to be competitive today are few and far between IMO

Thank your Bullet makers today

I'm not going to try to name every one that I've worked with but I will say that all of the custom bullet makers have gone out of their way to help answer questions and solve problems.

Thanks!

Berger may not be a CUSTOM Bullet Maker any Longer, so I will retract and give them high 5's for the New target bullet line .
They make putting hoes in paper at 1000 yards Fun .

Nosler is giving it a go also !

If I recall Joe Thielan from Hornady whipped everybody for a couple of years....

In my opinion, custom bullet makers don't make enough as far as profit goes for the amount of time it takes to make them. A bunch of guy's who I shoot against have been or are just getting started to make their own bullets. A lot of people have asked me, "why don't you make your own bullets?" My reply is that I have enough bullets at my house to shoot until I'm 90 and by that time, I'll be 6 ft under so it really doesn't matter. Hat's off to all the bullet maker's bullet's that I have bought and used in the 4 seasons that I've been shooting. They include Dick & Chad at 10X, Bart, Randy, Jim Eazor, Mike Conley & Allie.

Handmade bullets are the biggest bargain in BR. I shot my smallest group ever at 100 yards with 5 of Lester Bruno's 68gr 7S BT. The rifle was a 6PPC cruiser smithed by Seely Masker.

My smallest 300-yard group was shot with the same lot of Bruno bullets, this time with a Jim Borden-smithed LV. (And, yes, "the first 4 were in a bughole.") I even shot a few screamers in registered tournaments with this rifle and bullets.

Seely Masker. He was one Hell of a gunsmith.

Talk makes the world go around.
Seely was a "great gunsmith" and a true gentleman. Something that's missing in the world of BR nowadays.
I drove to NY to buy a sleeved 722 in 222 from Seely in the late 80's. He hollered up to his wife and proceeded to test fire it into s large firewood stump in his basement. I killed a slew of PDs with that rifle before giving it to my buddy in New Mexico.
I wouldn't "F" with you if I thought you couldn't take it.

I know and I don't mind it a bit coming from you Eddie. Did you get a chance to see the new and supposedly better SSOY system in place for this year? Somebody from Maryland stayed up nights for months thinking this system up and I'm not talking about D.G.

My first PPC was a sleeved Masker rifle. Shot my first zero group in competition with that rifle

Maybe more importantly as I'm learning than the great smithed rifle was the bullets I shot it with, Barts bullets !!

I'll agree about the Bart's bullets Tim. In my 4th season last year I finished 1st on 6 yardage aggs, 5 of them with his 112 X-outs, came in 2nd 5 times, all with his 112's and 3rd 4 times, 3 times with his 112's. I'm very impressed with those bullets.

Couldn't have said it better, totally agree with Tim and Jim. And a BIG thank you to Mr. George Ulrich for the time and effort he takes to invest/put up with, us inspiring bullet makers!!!
