Match-Grade bullet making

I’m curious as to how custom bullet makers monitor quality control over their finished product. I don’t understand the process but am trying to get familiar with the process. #1, are the jackets used weighed and measured for thickness and length, if so are they sorted prior to use. What variations are acceptable as to length and thickness. Can the jackets be trimmed and can they be chambered prior to use. #2 are the cores weighed and sorted prior to use. One would believe that if all components are identical, the finished product would be identical.

How do custom bullet makers monitor quality control over finished product?

I use a stainless steel bullet spinner 28 inches long 8 twist (for 103 and 105gr bullets). Shooting them is the only way to truly test them.

Not to discount your questions, but I’m not going type a novel to trying to answer them. But if you’d like to talk to me about it, give me call. If you get the answering machine just leave your number. Don’t know how to get a hold of me? Just google Barts Bullets.
