Bragging Rights in our sport

You don't know me, so don't act like you do. Yes I help out where ever I can. If I can help them be better shooters, then in return I will get better competing against them. And I have a lot of friends on this board that have helped me since I got the long range bug. I value their experience and shooting with them.

As far as attitude. You should look in the mirror. I don't think your a amateur or a hobbyist as you so claimed to be. Especially since you posted all your international matches. Good for you. You are a better shooter than me. Especially during the Berger Nationals. But to be honest. I would have expected that with your experience. I entered that match to shoot against the best. That was I think my second match ever at 1000 yards. And I also was shooting a Remington 700 stock 24" rifle. And didn't have a clue what load development was. Now I do. ;D and now I have the equipment for the sport I love.

Good Luck at Raton!

Wow. I just received my F class barreled action, and am in process of building a rifle. I have learned a lot from you guys.

I just wanted to say one of the reasons I left XTC after making master was that the competition ceased to be good natured and fun. It only takes a few "serious competitors" who leave civility and good sportsmanship behind to make any game a whole lot of no fun. I'm here mostly due to Rod from Dakota, who tells me that the guys are good natured and enjoy the game and have fun. If I'm going to run into the same jerks who made XTC distasteful here, in F class, then I am rethinking my expenditure, and my excitement is waning.

I did attend one match at Colorado Rifle Club, and I saw many of the same facial expressions on the sling shooters as I don't miss, but none of the same faces as 20 years ago. The Fclass guys did seem to be having more fun, at least for the time I was there.

I guess I just need to prepare to meet the same uncivil personality types all over again, if this thread is any indication. --It only takes one sheep turd (pehen) in a bag of cherries to ruin the taste of all of them.

Finish your build, you will have tons of fun shooting F-Class. Don't listen to the negative shooters, they tend to get quiet after you beat them. ;)

Peeked at this topic out of curiosity.
Let's just go shooting and enjoy what we have in common.
F-Class is likely newer to me than anyone who has posted.
I have not even shot my first match yet.
Someone has to be the LCD (Lowest Common Denominator ;D).
When I go to Raton, I am going to have a great time, meet folks I have only visited with on the phone or via email, and learn.
Only bad thing about Raton that I can think of is that they won't let me compete with one of my specialty pistols ;) :D

"stubbi"...listen to Eric,,,he has quieted a lot of em down,,,,just shoot against yourself and the wind,,,if you can overcome there, you will beat em all...Im sorry I dint get into F-class a few yrs bak (been shootin Benchrest for 40yrs,) now I cant get up-n-down very well (it takes 3 men and a crane),,,,enjoy every day of shooting,,,,let the naysayers ruin their own day,,,,and you can ruin theirs with a good score,,,good luk,,,Roger

Howdy EXPiper! I have a friend of mine that used to shoot Benchrest for many years. He shot with the likes of Glen Newick, Gene Buckys, Lester Bruno and the rest of the "crew". He decided 2 years ago to go to F-Open. Well last year he was shooting at 300 yards with a 6-Dasher. He shot a "Club Record" of 600-52'X's"!! It was funny, on the first match I set a "Club Record" of 200-18' "X's"... I held that record for exactly 1 match! Charles Schneider, my friend, broke that record, setting a new one with 200-19' "X's"!! I hold GREAT respect for the "BenchRest Crowd">> They are excellent shots and "crossing over" does not seem to pose a problem! So you may have seen some better days, as it were, but Charles is quite a bit older than I am, and not in "the pink" >> but that man can shoot!! So you just go out there and use those skills and put the whoop to your competition>>>you will enjoy it!

All I can say is the f/class shooters at sac valley calif have been great to me as a newer shooter. I can say Lane B and the rest will help you anyway they can !! :)
