They collect a ton of light.
And what you don't want, when the sun is glaring at Orangeburg. Take any
camera lens and stop down the aperture when it gets too bright outside to take
a certain pic, your looking for. A rifle scope is no different. The problem with a
rifle scope is, you can't close down the aperture, because it's fixed. The one
piece of gear that is available is a modifier disc. In some cases, that's even too
big.......I've since accumulated a few discs for the High Master March to make a
series of varying sized inserts. Here is one I knocked down to 32mm and has
worked the best with extreme sunlight over our snow pack. I do plan on making
an even smaller one. Maybe a 20mm disc ??
