March majesta scope

Any particular rings you guys prefer for a scope of that weight?
The extra weight of the Majesta compared to say the 10-60X56 HM or similar riflescopes, is not really a problem for rings.

That said, I'm partial to the Burris XTR Signature rings with the inserts. The inserts have many advantages in my opinion:
  • Preserve the finish of an expensive riflescope.
  • Proper alignment of the riflescope in the rings; no stress.
  • Better grip on the riflescope compared to a metal ring.
  • And most important: setup the riflescope so that it's really close to mechanical zero (optical sweet spot) at 1000 yards. At those prices, I want the best IQ.

Shot my first match with the majesta today. It was a 600 yard match in Beaumont. I kept the magnification at 80 for all three matches. Of course mirage got worse as the day went on but I was still able to see the target fairly clearly, it was bouncing around a good bit for the last two matches but I could still see the scoring rings very good. For the first match the target was clearer on 80 power than it ever was with my golden eagle on 40 power. This thing is awesome.

What reticle is that?
@Ranger188 is correct. It's the MTR-W1. The WFD doesn't really suit my shooting style but the W1 definitely does (as does the W2 which is basically the same reticle but no vertical reticle on the top side). I like both but use the vertical aspect just enough that decided to stick with the W1. I have one friend with both a W1 & WFD, another friend with the WFD and another with the W2 and they're all happy with their choices.

If the WFD did not exit, I would favor the W2 for F-class as it's similar to the MTR-2/MTR-5. That's one of the many nice things with the Majesta, many different reticles to chose from.

Some 600yd shooting and I'll have 1000yd views in a day or two once I'm done putting the video together. Overall I LOVE this thing so far.
Interesting initial review. I just want to address this issue of sunshade and amount of light. In my experience, the only time there may be a discernable difference in perceived amount of light coming into an optic like a camera lens, a riflescope or a spotting scope is at the very minimum magnifications. In fact, I have only ever seen that with wide angle lenses.

You can get the titanium rings here. Pricey, but works with the Majesta.

MARCH Scopes Superlight Titanium Rings - MARCH Scopes

These are a new and very clever design in which the full diameter of the scope body has contact with the titanium ring, when mounted correctly (see below) this will not mark or stress your scope in any way. The rings have been precisely CNC manufactured with Aircraft grade Titanium. We...

My scope caps for the Majesta scope is now available:

@TonyinKY Nice caps. I think you can expand your list of March scopes for which you now have the caps. For instance, you're missing the entire FFP line.

With your type B, you also file the March-FX 5-40 series, including the Gen II with the Shuriken knobs.

With your new type I, you also fit the March-FX 5-42X56 series, including the newly announced Gen II.

If you took the objective lens cap for the type H and the eyepiece lens cap from the new type I, this combo would fit the March-FX 4.5-28X52.
Your type H also fist the March 2.5-25X52.

If you were to create an objective lens cap for the 42mm objective (O/D: 51mm) you would then be able to add the March 2.5-25X42, the March 3-24X42, the March-FX 1.5-15X42 and the March 1.5-15X42.
