March Genesis?

Reason I mentioned Turk as he was the person that worked with Deon to start the March Scope company. He gets a little advantage over others testing them out. Stuart Elliott in Australia has probably sold more March scopes than any.

We are going to be a stocking dealer of the March genesis. They are shipping out the 2nd week of December.

If any of you are seriously interested, give me a call. We have special release pricing for the first shipment

Greg,

Other than the 2 mile shooters, is there really a market for these scopes? That's 3 mortgage payments for me.

Did I miss something??

Has anyone used one yet?
Will be interesting. Its basically a frozen scope in an adjustable mount. Needs to go on a scope checker :) March makes good scopes, sold a lot of them and the 10-60x52 is still a favorite of mine. I can dial up from a 100 yard zero to 2k yards with a 2.5-25x52 march scope on a 300 wsm. The Genesis is really for a very small niche of people that need to dial from close range to well over 2k yards. I have shot out to 2500 with dialing an atacr and using the reticle sub tensions with my edge. So for the price on this scope you would have to NEED to dial from 100 to 3000 plus. Otherwise there are far cheaper options. The other benefit would be the scope would always be at perfect optical center. Some scopes really suffer at the extremes of the adjustment. If this mechanism works and they can get the price down, Id like to see a 20-60 for BR.

None in my opinion.

@Alex Wheeler the English distributor put them on a scope checker system and they performed very well. Assuming they publish an article / video when the release happens, should be calming for many possible buyers.

I can possibly see one on my 416 Barrett. - I'm also waiting to see what Jim Borden brings to market as far as a "true" 338 Lapua sized action.
Thanks Greg

Well I've been on a list for a long time...... "release date" as I recall is/was March of 2018 and AFAIK that's come and gone and I haven't gotten the phone.

Just checking

There is zero reason to use this scope unless you need to. There’s no good way to make elr not crazy expensive. I’m sure someone will put one on their .338 Lapua and take it for a spin on their 100 yard range, but by and large, this is a niche specialty product for people who need hundreds of MOA of adjustment. I think it’s cool - sort of a modern day externally adjustable unertl looking thing.

How do you know this March Scope and their service is any better? Hopefully some will buy a new March and report back on your experience. Until the new March or old March can demonstrate more consistency, I am now staying 100% with Nightforce.

I think your spot on Alex, i think there would be a bigger market for a light, well priced, 20-60 or 10-50 than there would be for this Genisis scope

it's free...... they've got a deal with E'lan Thee Musk to rockethop them stateside. They just shoot them straight up out the basement thru a pophole after figgering dwell time based on whether we're aphelion or perihelion and E'lan collects them at SpaceX and disburses them by taxpayer-funded solar shuttle tubes.
