BUTT Seriously Folks....... It IS Deon Optics and THEY WERE basically some nerds in a basement not that long ago...... and when 4 American BR shooters walked into their lab with wads of hunnerd dollar bills held out, THAT WAS the genesis of March Scopes.

You sure it wasnt former japan tasco mfrs?

Id love to have a march but the money.... i can only imagine how nice they are though after just using my new to me nightforce 12-42×56 for the first time. Till yesterday the best glass i ever had was back in the early 90s bushnell pro trophy hunter 6-24×56 i think that was the spec. I know in 95 it cost 270.00.

How do you know this March Scope and their service is any better? Hopefully some will buy a new March and report back on your experience. Until the new March or old March can demonstrate more consistency, I am now staying 100% with Nightforce.
Ben

Ben, have you had a bad March? Service Bad?

As most people who have posted in this thread are aware, the Genesis scopes aren't far away from being released, just in time for Christmas for those with DEEP pockets. As I have been told, there are currently three prototype models out in the wild at the moment - 1 each in Australia, UK and the US. I was fortunate enough to get a peek through the one floating around in Australia at my home range. The scope was setup on a 6BRA (MattP on here may be able to confirm) although no rounds were put down range - We were shooting at 800 metres so that's where we viewed it from. Conditions were sunny and around 28 degrees Celsius from memory - nice and warm without being too hot and there was a decent amount of mirage in play. Optically this scope is everything you want, perhaps even more so as it uses a different lens arrangement to a traditional rifle scope - it was certainly clearer than any other scope on the range (NF, S&B, Sightron, Vortex all represented on F-class guns). It certainly wasn't as bothered by the mirage as the other scopes. The main selling point of the scope though is the elevation adjustment...at 800 metres on the 6BRA, there was still over 330 moa of elevation available - yep, 330 moa, quite extraordinary.

Can't see March selling a lot of them - they're going to go for just over 8 grand a piece in Australia and we don't have the luxury of running ELR comps like the US boys and girls. It will be interesting to see how many of them end up on those ELR rigs you guys run.

Well I whish't they'd get off the pot already..... We need to find out if they'll stand up to a 18lb 375BMG pushing lathe turned monolithics.
