Just me, but how can something that loves so unconditionally not have a soul ? I’ve always felt that in giving man the dog God was saying, “ Here. This what pure, simple, unadulterated love looks like. “

Jacks can be hell on wheels! Terriers in general, punch above their weight! I had a boss that raised Jack Russel’s. He said that they sometimes don’t live very long because they have little, if any, discernment when it comes to what they tackle!

As great as this thread has been I have found it difficult to read with watery eyes. After having sent my last furry gal over the rainbow bridge it tore me up so bad, as much as I miss having a dog, I don't know if I could go through that again.

Make that 3 of us. I experienced an overwhelming spiritual presence when I laid my last yellow lab in her grave that I still have difficulty sharing.

Here’s Ditch. I put in over 5 miles exploring some rough country this morning so she probably did 7. We came in and I washed my hands to eat. I walked out of the bathroom and she’s holding a toy ready to go outside and play. She keeps me young and tired!

Man, I know how you feel. Thank the Lord that my wife has the wherewithal to be with ours when the time comes. It just guts me. Guess I need to “ grow a pair”, but this late in life I don’t think it’s in the cards. I admire those that can.

We had to put another one down today. Two of them 2 weeks apart is very hard to take. That’s now 4 dogs lost in 2 years. Three of them were very old, and family members for many years. Still have the Love Moose (a very big chocolate lab) and a couple Westie puppies.
