It pains me to tell the story but just a few days after this picture my best friend Maxwell passed away. He had a slight cough, one small hack every couple hours so we went to the vet who heard a little bit of a wheeze so we did antibiotics and pred shots, xray showed no mass in the lungs but a little ghosting that wasn't normal, could be congestion. He was acting normal and playing. A few days later Novenber 24th at 3:30 am he began coughing up some blood and was short of breath, whatever he had ruptured and was filling his lungs with blood. My ex girlfriend is a vet, she and my friend from our rescue came over and at 5:30 am we helped Maxwell go to heaven. I am crying again while I type this and miss him tremendously. The house is empty without him and his always wanting to play character. He always wanted to play fetch, even when I was reloading and I threw his ball every time he brought it for the almost 4 years I've had him because I knew some day I would wish I could throw it just one more time. He also got a beef rib bone to chew every night as I was trying to make up for the 5 years he spent caged in a rescue. Maxwell is truly one of a kind and has brought so much joy and laughter to my and others lives. I miss my Best Friend and will love him for ever. The most fetchy boxer I have ever had, brings the ball to me when I'm in the shower and waits at the bathroom threshold.View attachment 1607890
