my pheasant hunter turns 7 today and went to Dairy Queen with the wife of course!

She lets you have the half down in the cone. At least she offers right?

I waste most chances at doing something with class but one day 20 years ago a friend called and asked if I could shoot a dog "sure " .I thought it was a PIA dog tearing up trash cans or something.When I got there he told me it was his first and beloved bird dog.My gut sank!I told Charlie I didn't have a shovel or nothing,knowing I had a truck full of tools.When he went home for a shovel I took care of every thing I didn't want him have to any part of it ,I knew it would be painful enough for him.

HECK NO! that's all his. I got a chocolate cone with chocolate dip and wife got a sundae.

He got brain freeze once, that was too funny , then he has to run to wear off the sugar rush!

this was MY birthday cake, He enjoyed some of it too.

Java’s loves the water and can’t keep him out of the creek! He feels a rock with a paw and it’s dive dive dive time! Head goes under and comes up with a rock. I really have to watch when I mow the grass!

Sad news, she passed away this weekend and crossed the rainbow bridge. It's amazing how much a devoted pet enriches your life and how empty you feel when a devoted friend leaves you. I hope she went with thoughts of us playing fetch, going for rides, floating around the pool on a lounger, and lots of belly rubs. She may have been the runt of the litter but she was the best of the bunch.
