We have a thread going on with pictures of "Man's Best Friend" and I thought I'd ask if anybody with a dog is involved in "Dog Sports" or "Trials". Many may hunt or hike with their "fur" friend but how many compete or are actively involved with their "dog" in a sport like; agility, dock diving, rally/obedience, frisbee, flyball, lure coursing, ratting, tracking, tunneling, scent/nose work, herding, hunting or field trials, etc..
We have 3 Aussies that are all involved in agility. Two of them are also involved in nose/scent work and one has herding titles. My wife did most of the work with the dogs because of my health issues but in the last year or so I've gotten involved with learning to run my dog in agility and must say, working together as a team and learning what it takes to help him be successful has been very rewarding for both of us. It has also taught me that competitions are not always about winning or losing, they're also about the journey; sharing and participating in an activity with my best friend.
