Making a 6BR a repeater ?

I shoot all tactical matches now and was wondering if anyone can make a 6br a repeater:

First: Will it Reliably feed from an AI mag in rapid fire stages 5 round and 10 ?

Thanks and take care

designed to feed a 6br. Ive never had a single failure to feed with mine, and its the only repeater I have which I can say that about...

Its definitely possible. The only off the shelf ones I know of are the Grunig & Elmiger and Bleiker CISM rifles which both offer 10 shot magazines and 6mmBR (as well as a few other calibres).
I'm sure you can get a suitable magazine for reliable feeding in other builds.

Here is my 6br repeater. I added a spacer to the front of the AI mag and tweaked the feed lips a little. Feeding is fantastic now.

darrenk75b,

Would you mind describing the process as to how you modified the AI mags to feed the 6br case. Could you possibly include a close-up picture of the modified mag? I have been so far unsuccessful with my mag modifications. Thanks.

If you go back to the menu before this thread there is a thread about a 6br tactical rifle and he has pictures of how his works.

If you like I can pull the magazine apart and take some better photos of the mods that I did to mine. I shot a tactical match yesterday which was 80 or so rounds and it fed every one perfectly. I realised that being able to fit 6 or7 rounds is a necessity for some of the snap shooting where you have 2 shots in a 10 second exposure. There's no time to change a mag during the third exposure and I missed some points because of it.

John, I don't have any pics handy at the moment. I simply trimmed the front of the mag follower and epoxied a 1/4" aluminum spacer in the front of the mag. even after doing this, the mag wasn't running 100%. I had to tweak the feedlips a little to allow the case to sit higher in the mag. This alleviated the issue, but took 30 minutes or so of trial and error to get it right.
