I generally agree that it makes sense that the MS can in fact act as a tuner. However, all these groups that have been posted are not definitive proof that this is happening.

I can see differences between with and without the MS but what is missing is the wrap around i.e. without, with, and without, with. So what would be reasonably convincing (remember this is still and n=2 for each condition) is to show that the groups done without is identical, and with is identical, and they are different from each other. Without this, one could say that what we have are two different groups and as all of us know, even shooting the same ammo out of the same gun at the same target sometimes gives us different looking groups.

I did a comparison at 600 yds with my 6mmBR/1.25"x30" Brux Barrel without and with my MagnetoSpeed installed. The load was 30.5 gr of Varget, Berger 105 Hybrids jumped .025 and CCI 450's. I measured the target groups on my computer using the On Target Precision Calculator Target 2.1 Program.

The 4 shot group without the MagnetoSpeed installed measured 1.346" wide by .540 high.
The 4 shot group with the MagnetoSpeed installed measured 1.390" wide by .506" high.

The group with the MagnetoSpeed installed measured 4.281" down and 1.291" left center to center from the group without the MagnetoSpeed installed.

Again, this was done at 600 yds.

Since I only use my MagnetoSpeed to check the velocities in load development I am not that interested in comparing group sizes or POI shifts with the MagnetoSpeed installed versus without it installed. The information I posted was just the result of testing one day that ended with a good 600yd four shot group so I decided when I took the MagnetoSpeed off I would see what the last 4 rounds I had would look like without the MagnetoSpeed and that is what I posted. Although you are correct that more groups and more rounds may be needed to make it more statistically significant, for me it was enough information to satisfy my curiosity.

I'm wanting to chrony loads as I work them up. I test prone so I figured this would be easiest to use/set up.

Just don't want results to be thrown off. I know magneto vs Oehler are almost spot on with each other(I've tested this before)

there where only a handful of them made and distributed to a select few to review and provide feedback to those on the Internet in order to build enough interest to move forward with production. They have to have a certain amount preordered in order to justify production without a huge loss.
They have been promised for Going on two years now with one excuse after another of delays and so forth. I may be wrong but I highly doubt the consumer will ever see them.

Are you on the wait list? You know they are just holding off releasing it until you buy the MagnetoSpeed.. That is how these things work...

Andrew a number of truisms come to mind related to waiting for promises....."a bird in the hand etc......." " he who hesitates......etc....."

You can wait and wonder or go with a MS and know. I am still awaiting " commercial free Pay TV promised to us back in the 50s!
