A good stiff brush, And then shoot it. You can wiggle a smaller drill bit around the edges of the hole and get most of it out.One thing that I have wondered about for a long time is how do you deburr the inside of the gas port?

Lol, I've had several commercial barrels with a chip left in the gas port from drilling. It's one of the first things I check along with length of gas journal. Some are machined for gas block to butt up against the end and others leave room for the triangle clip to hold clamshell hand guards. One thing that I have wondered about for a long time is how do you deburr the inside of the gas port?
The longer the gas system the better unless its blackout. For Target work the mid length or rifle length is better because the bullet has left the barrel before the bolt opens so less movement. With the carbine gas system the bolt is moving by the time the bullet exits. If I'm being honest I don't know a whole lot about the pros/cons of different length systems. For this one I just cloned a WOA varmint barrel. They use their own length gas system - It was 11.125 from the extension to the gas block shoulder

I have done it numerous times, easy. And you can do different colors.Just did some googlin - I didn't realize this was something I could do at home!
Are you talking Anodizing or Parkerizing, Theres only Mag Phosphate and Zinc Phosphate for parkerizing, So basically 2 colors.I have done it numerous times, easy. And you can do different colors.
Parkerizing, there is green, black and grey. Are you talking Anodizing or Parkerizing, Theres only Mag Phosphate and Zinc Phosphate for parkerizing, So basically 2 colors.
Which chemical do you use for each color?Parkerizing, there is green, black and grey.
Use a very sharp (new) drill bit .010” or more undersize of target diameter and follow up with the proper size very sharp (new) drill bit. Deburr with a few bullets down range. One thing that I have wondered about for a long time is how do you deburr the inside of the gas port?
I really enjoyed doing my first gasser barrelHappy to report that the barrel is an outstanding shooter. Glad I never need to buy another AR barrel again.
It's got my head going to build an AR10 with a 6GT barrel. Would be an absolute killer in F Class AR TacI really enjoyed doing my first gasser barrel
Already researching data for the next.
