Lyman M5 Part

Picked up a very nice Lyman M5 Scale at a auction. Problem is it came without powder pan or hanger assembly. Anyone have any idea where to find parts? Lyman and Ohaus are a no go! Tried a newer RCBS assembly without lead weights and it is too heavy! Ideas on a parts and or fix will be greatly appreciated!

Get a Redding (or other) pan, and tweak the weight - you will never find one that is "Plug 'N' Weigh" (sorry for the pun :) ).

Thanks XBBR, I'll look for a old Redding!

You can buy a new scale pan from Redding - call them. 607-756-3331

I have a Lyman M-5, bought it new when they first came out (during the Spanish-American war, I think :) ).

I replaced the damper magnets with much stronger ones, and it has never failed - the beam will move with ONE granule of H322.
